Yes, the hard drive motor in particular sounds a little dicey. The whole thing reminds me of the old days with crazy loud dot-matrix printers.
I’ll have to check on the recaptcha. It does a really good job of stopping spam, but obviously shouldn’t be causing too much headache for humans.
